Dear Valued Members and Friends,  

It is an honor to serve as the Chairperson of ECCK, the largest European business community in Korea and one of the most active European Chambers globally. We are experiencing a very chaotic and unprecedented time, with COVID-19, public health emergencies and growing protectionism which are threatening global trade, supply chains and economies, forcing everyone to adapt to the ‘New Normal’ way of life. However, I believe it is also a period full of opportunities, with new scientific and technological breakthroughs being made seemingly every day. Further there are exciting new initiatives, such as the Green and Digital economic plans announced by the EU and Korea.

I am confident that with my fellow board members and the support of ECCK staffs, we will overcome the present challenging situation which most businesses are facing. Building on the strong foundation of the ECCK I intend to grow our contacts and interactions with the Korean government and thus strengthen the voice of European companies and even better represent the business community concerns in Korea.

The ECCK will continue to work with all stakeholders and support European businesses to reap the rewards of the exciting opportunities afforded in Korea and contribute further to a sustainable and successful future of our members.
