On June 18, the ECCK Busan Chapter held an information session on the ‘Economic Oulook 2020’ with its member companies.

During the event, ECCK President Christoph Heider and Mr. Andrew Millard, an assistant professor of Busan University of Foreign Studies, briefed on the global and local economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

The session was continued with and open discussion of the key lessons and the expected outlook for Korean and European economies.

On June 9, the ECCK hosted a tax forum on the update on Tax amendments 2020.

KPMG Korea Tax Partners Tai-Joon Kim, Tai-joo Kim and Yu-jin Suh covered major changes in the corporate income tax, transfer pricing regulation, and customs laws and provide details of the revised enforcement decree.

On May 29, the ECCK Busan Chapter held its first Taxation Seminar of the year with KPMG at Park Hyatt Busan.

During this seminar, Mr Tai-Joon Kim, Mr Tae-Joo Kim, and Ms Yu-Jin Suh, Tax Partners at KPMG Korea, delivered presentations on most recent revisions in the areas of tax, transfer pricing, customs, and other amendments of the taxation laws. An active Q&A session was followed to address the questions by the attending ECCK Busan members.
